Was driving home the other day, it had been raining off and on. I noticed the storm clouds were different. They were in layers, not the usual billowing type. So, I was inspired today to make a stormy cloudy card. I knew this wagon from Clear Dollar Stamps would be a great image for this. Hopefully you can feel the storm brewing from my card!......details......
On a white cs panel, I sponged my clouds using a new stencil I made especially for this. I worked from the middle up, using the darker color first and graduating to a lighter color.
Then I sponged the prairie field on the bottom with another stencil and lightly sponged some color in the white sky part mainly because I have trouble leaving "white" spaces! LOL I then stamped my wagon and w/c with re-inkers.
Layered this scene with black cs and doodled edges. Put these layers on a light blue card.
Stamped the cactus and tumble weeds from CDS on a scrap of white cs, colored with re-inkers. Stamped and colored the un-known tree. The tree is an un-mounted stamp so I tend to forget where I got it, sorry. Then I cut all these images out and put them on my scene popping up some parts. That was actually the hardest part, adding the dimensional tape.
Stamped and clear eb the sentiment, cut out with word punch. Layered it with another word punch cut out of black cs. Put some linen thread on my star button and put it with the sentiment. Well, what do you think of my storm card?..........Let me know..............as always, TFL :0) P.S. I will be back later to view the gallery and comment on your wonderful cards but first I have to go to the Chiropractor. My elbow has been out. I can handle the pain when working, bit it has started to affect my card making and we just can't have that! LOL
