I did a twofer today. This is Viva La Verve with a twist Sketch Challenge #1 with the twist being hardware and today's TLC challenge to use pleats.
I also included my challenge to myself: to try to use more DP on cards this year as I am DP challenged. Getting one piece of DP to work is a BIG success for me, and having to get two that work together stresses me out just thinking about it ! Maybe by mid-year I'll be ready to mix two together....think I should just just I buy SU DP when I get to that part as it will definitely keep my stress/frustration level down LOL!
Speaking of stress and frustration levels.....I just about lost it trying to make this accordion flower!! BIG note to self: do NOT try to make this when you only have mini glue dots!! However, I wasn't going to let a piece of paper get the best of me so I persevered and after much glue, tape and paper and lots of muttering under my breath, I managed to get it to stick together. Score: WRM 1 and Paper 0 Yeah!
TFL and listening

I understand your frustration w/ the flower. I'll bet I had the same! Everytime I thought I had it down, it would pop back up! But I too overpowered the paper and won!!! Now to your card - it is GORGEOUS! Well worth all your frustration. I love the scallop bg and your layout is wonderful. You've been fav'd.

Way to go. That is the best description I have read all day. I am so glad that I am not the only one that has trouble with dp. It is hard for me too. I also tried for an hour to get one of these flowers to work. I threw about 3 in the trash...soooo this is a great card because you chose to go outside the white lines. Super card...Great job....

Very pretty! Those colors really are rich looking. I also know what you mean about the glue dots. I had that same problem.
