Well, it sure felt good for me to make a card for a different kind of celebration... in this case, Valentine's Day. I don't know if this card is really "vintage", but the colors made me feel that way when I was typing up the title. This is a card that sort-of evolved... my original idea was completely different! I love organdy ribbon (it's my favorite kind to use), and I was completely depressed about it when Stampin' Up! stopped selling it many years ago.... I continue hoping that they bring it back with every catalog release... tee hee!
I wish I had this ribbon slightly narrower for the card, but I had to make do with what I had here in the house. The background script is from the upcoming hostess set Rustic Rooster and is stamped in Creamy Caramel on the same color cardstock. The large heart from Always was stamped, masked and stamped again on top of the background in Close to Cocoa. I reverse-masked and sponged the inside of the heart with a sponge dauber. The edges were swiped against the Creamy Caramel inkpad and everything mounted on my 4 inch square Very Vanilla squash card. The ribbon and half-back pearls were added last. I've made these squash albums before for scrapbooking, and it was fun to make a card version.... thanks, Lynn!
Have a great day, everyone.... thank you for taking a closer view of my card today! ~June

I was so curious as to which set might be 'rustic rooster' glad you gave such a good explanation in your description! I agree, I was sad when the organdy disappeared, I have been hoarding mine and using it on select occasions. Very, very pretty card, the hearts, layout and pearls are perfect.

How wonderfully gorgeous is this! Love your design and those 2 hearts, but it's the ribbon and where you've placed it that stole my heart! Just fabulous
