My inspiration for this card comes from Betty's elegant evening gown seen in an episode of AMC's Mad Men. I loved the beautiful ivory satin with the wonderful bodice beading and detail. I also loved the blue of the great velvet headboard in the background.
I embossed the blue cardstock to mimic the tucked design the headboard. I used satiny ivory floral paper with some ribbon for more texture. The flower is from a disassembled silk flower and is layered with several punched circles of the papers used in the card a a pearl topped brad found in the bridal section at Michaels (sneaking in a pearl for this week's Ways to Use it Challenge ... since I made my IC card a week ahead of time, I must have been clairvoyant).
