Well, I was playing around this morning thinking of a card for today's color combination challenge, and came up with a new technique (to me anyway). I've not seen this done before, so I'm going to call this "alcohol etching". If you've seen this technique elsewhere, please let me know! I'd like to give credit where it is due.... thanks!!
Well this technique is extremely simple to do, and couple of practice sessions will make you a pro. I simply stamped my image on acetate with Black Staz-On, and removed areas with alcohol. For step-by-step details with pics, you can visit here: http://my-creative-corner.blogspot.c...technique.html
The background was created by using a post-it and sponging my sunrise and ocean onto Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment in the upper left corner and added the finished transparency. Brads were inserted and this was layered a couple times before adhering to the cardbase.
Thanks, Kharmagirl, for a great color challenge today. It's a pretty combo indeed... And thank you for taking a closer look at my card. I really appreciate it!!!!
