For the Color Challenge hosted by Mary. Her terrific colors are: Real Red, Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green. Dessert option is anything goes.
I was under the weather and have not been in my craft room for a week. The colors are great, but I was having trouble getting into the creative groove after being sick. I perused around and found a Paper Pumpkin kit that inspired me. The mailbox image is preprinted with red and neutrals Basic Black, Smokey Slate, Gold Foil. I stamped the hearts & flowers at the top with Gorgeous Grape and Real Red. Using a very old set, Scenery, I stamped the grassy patch at the bottom with Garden Green ink and sponged a little also. The sentiment was stamped in Real Red on a banner from the kit. Then, I die-cut a postage edge mat from Gorgeous Grape and attached everything to the printed card from the kit. I thought to possibly include a real postage stamp and in my stash, I found a Forever stamp with a heart in just the right colors! It had been used to send me a card, but was not cancelled. I popped up the sentiment.
It was fun to revisit this kit and use these colors. When I was all done, I realized that the preprinted red items from the PP kit are actually Poppy Parade, but I had thought they were Real Red. So, my dessert is using Poppy Parade. The ink I used for stamping is Real Red.
Hope you are doing well & crafting and you will give the color challenge a whirl. TFL

Awesome! Love the mailbox/quote set. The floating hearts/flowers make for a fabulous Valentine. The bit of purple trim/frame is an excellent touch...

It looks like you are well on your way to getting your groove back! This is so, so pretty. I love the twist that patterned card base lends with the purple postage edge. Maybe this is why I keep all those paper pumpkin kits.

This is such a great valentine, Diane. Your top panel is perfectly balanced with all the little elements and the ground you created beneath the mailbox is beautifully done. Love the red dsp and narrow purple scallops framing it all.

How pretty using mostly RED. Love the addition of the real stamp to go with the RED mailbox.
