For Teapot Tuesday where Vicki is our guest hostess and we are celebrating internationall pasta day today: MMTPT744 - October 25, 2022 - Pasta La Vista by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers.
I love pasta, DH not so much unfortunately. And he's picky about shapes; he wants everything to be made with fusilli. Actually, I nearly went off or a couple of years ago when we had a friend's son staying with us when he started college. His breakfast every morning was 200g of pasta and two boiled eggs. I could cope with the eggs, but the smell of cooking pasta first thing in the morning was not something I enjoyed. Fortunately for me he went back to his family during COVID.
I pieced the Voila chef, masked him and sponged the background with Antique Linen, then stamped Print Pattern in Fired Brick. Added the wooden floor withd pad direct to paper. My photo corners are cut from a tomato paste tube and embossed. I added a little cat. Actually, due to DH's reluctance to eat pasta and spaghetti especially, we usually have our meatballs with mashed potato.

Love this card, Sabrina. Your paper pieced chef is done wonderfully. I have that chef but my set didn't include the spaghetti. The harlequin makes a great bg and I imagine an old room with large brick tiles. I laugh at your story of your guest having pasta and eggs for breakfast. I could handle the smell of pasta sooner than eggs in the morning.

I love that paper pieced chef outfit...perfect! And the harlequin bg is awesome! I'm not sure I'd get along with your DH...I love pasta....just about any shape. I'm sure we'd get along otherwise...hehe

Love all the techniques in this card, from the masked off background to the paper-piecing (I recognize that print and the tweed too). This is such a fun scene (although I do worry that cat will decide to run right in front of the chef and all the spaghetti is going to end up on the floor.)

Mashed potatoes and meatballs! That is something I've never heard of. Maybe I should try it at my house. My hubby will not eat pasta of any shape. He hates the texture. I swear his mother must have fed him mushy pasta when he was a kid. I love the tomato paste tube corners and every fun detail of this card!

Sabrina I love your golden corners, and your chef holding that plate high so the kitty doesn't get it. Very cute!

Cute narrative to go with your card (and for me, meatballs do not go with mashed potatoes). Love the chef against the Print wallpaper and kitty just waiting for chef to drop the platter! And your Spaghetti-Os photo corners are perfect!

So, so many interesting elements. That diamond bg is fab. And the photo corners embossed from tomato paste!!! I've scrolled up at least 5 times...the paper pieced chef is just the cat's pajamas
