As I mentioned in my Keep Swimming upload yesterday, I was trying to resuscitate some dried-up Nuvo mousse with distilled water. While it didn't restore the full creamy smoothness, it did a pretty good job so I thought I'd stencil several backgrounds and use it up before it dried out again. This is on the filter from a coffee filter print, so more water again for that. This was my third background without cleaning the stencil, and maybe it didn't stick as well to the coffee filter, so it was a bit patchy but I really liked the look and wanted to do something with it. I simply layered it onto black (and it's not as crooked as it looks!!), and popped up the wild rose after cutting it from some scrap of shimmer card and embossing with SU Subtle. I found a suitably coloured butterfly in my butterfly stash. Since I'm low on thank you cards, I went with that for a sentiment, using a die from SU and layering it up.

What a beautiful save of the Nuvo Mousse, Sabrina...I just threw lots away that had dried out! The butterfly matches perfectly with your background and I really like that wild rose border die cut! Beautiful thank you card!

So awesome, Sabrina! Thanks for the tip on the Nuvo mousse. I have like 10 containers of that stuff (most that I've never used) that are dried up rock hard. Will try this.

Thanks for the tip about trying to resuscitating that Nuvo. I have probably just thrown some out, but if you can get any kind color out of it that is better than throwing it away. Me- the queen of "I can still use that!" and the piles that are the result. LOL Love this pretty card.

Wow! This is a show-stopper! I love that the butterfly in your stash shares the same color tones as your background. The background is stunning! A gorgeous card!
