I really am finally enjoying Watercolor Wednesdays. Even though I couldn't cheat my way through this one by just drawing or coloring with my markers and moving the color around with my brush. Today, I had to actually apply the color with my brush. I scribbled the colors onto my mat for a palette and followed along with the video to paint my flowers which I thought would look lovely in pink. And I was right. I finished my card off with splattering green on it and then splattering gold Wink of Stella. Finally, before I took off the washi tape, I drew a border around it with the gold Wink of Stella and also added the fine details to the flower centers with black glaze pen.

I did the same as you.....no drawing, just brushing the paint on and that was fun. I love your flowers and the colors. Wonderful gold border, too. So glad you are liking the watercoloring now. It really gets better and better. Love your card!

You are right, drawing does not work with this kind of watercolour. You did a fabulous job with your flowers and leaves Jen, a wonderful card with such pretty colours.

My friend - those Salmon pink flowers are over the top beautiful! I love the free spirited riot of green in the bg too. I can feel the joy in this painting and that probably has something to do with relaxing and enjoying the process - we've come a long way, baby!

Smiling here, Jen! This is beautiful with the loose technique. This would make a lovely framed image. Love the color and how you have a pleasing shape to them. Something I struggled with. Glad you played and gave us this beauty. See you next Wednesday. TFS
