Sending some inky hugs and condolences to this week's Tea Party guest, Theresa.
Jacqueline challenged us to "squash 2020" using a smooshing technique. My technique: smoosh DO's onto glass mat; spritz generously with water, run brayer through ink and then onto the paper. I used my favorite color combo of blue and green. Stenciled the flowers with the same two inks. Added the sentiment, die cut and bubbles.
It is always difficult to lose a loved one, but it must be especially so these days with all the restrictions to access. My heartfelt sympathies to Theresa for her loss. My hope for each of you is that you may spend the day with people and/or activities you love so our lives may be filled with joy and love to help us when we have to go through a difficult time. Stay safe, stay well. TFL.
(P.S. Sorry for the blurry sentiment. I guess the bubbles kept the card from being flat on the screen when I scanned. But it does look fine in real life. Hugs)

I like the technique you used with the brayer and of course this color combo. The stencil creates a lovely faint image to your bg...well done on this card Debbie.

Ah - that's a very neat idea using the brayer. I will definitely try that.
What a beautiful verse for a sympathy card, and the stencilled flowers are a perfect pairing with it.

That is one awesome sentiment and love the softer look of applying the ink with a brayer. I thought perhaps you had used a resist technique but see it is a stencil overlay which adds to the ambience.

Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing how you did this. I so appreciate you doing that. This is so pretty and so uplifting, Debbie. Sure to bring comfort to Theresa. The blue you chose for your base and butterfly complements your blue/green smooshing and stencilling so well!
