A generous act. Thank goodness those days are long behind us now, but as DH lost his job 3 months after we got married (and I had been working abroad prior to that and hadn't found a full-time job), I still do remember the times that we had difficulty paying the electricity bill, and had to switch the gas between either heat or cooking as we only had one cylinder and couldn't afford to refill the other one. Our last electricity bill was somewhat higher than normal due to the absent-minded, usually rushing, 19-year old living with us not always remember to turn his fan heater off when he went out - but at least we had no problem in paying it.
Some of you saw the star on my MIX card last week. I have no idea where it originally came from, but it was on my desk and was the mask I used on this, using an old-fashioned spray diffuser to spray yellow ink (Bouton D'or, Buttercup) over it. Then I stamped the bulb in black. Masked it and stamped the flex in Versafine Crimson Red. Removed the mask and stamped the filament, embossing it with copper EP.
Stamped the stems and leaves in Versafine Olympia Green, masked the tops of the stems and added the bulbs in black. Used green and yellow Couleur d'Art pencils for colouring.
I added the long sentiment and "are" from the Avery Elle sentiment set - the BRILLIANT comes from the Art Journey one. I stamped in a few tiny Penny Black bees from a clear set (I'm always afraid of losing that stamp, it's so tiny and I often use it) and added a pen line to frame the card out.
Art Journey You Light Up My Life, part of sentiment from
Avery Elle Sentimental Too.
Star laid over card as a mask, ink (J Herbin Bouton DâOr) blown over it. Main bulb and flex stamped - flex in Versafine Crimson Red, element embossed with copper EP.
Small stems and leaves stamped in Versafine Olympia Green, stems masked and small bulbs stamped in. Colouring was done with Couleur DâArt pencils Added a few Penny Black bees flying around.

Fantastic card Sabrina! I can see why you worry about losing that tiny little bee! She needs her own special little bee hive container to live inside, when she's not out stamping!

Triple Wow!! I love everything on this beautiful card, especially the light bulbs and the little bees, I know what it means too to be in bad position and need to chose between having a mail or warmth, I was very young when I came to France to work and in Winter after the season work we didn't get salary so often i had difficulties to finish the months

I am happy I've mostly gone to LED bulbs...I love all the little mood lights around my house...they make me happy to go into one of the rooms. Your card is indeed, brilliant! Micheal will be blessed by it.

This is just filled with fun - I like the tiny neighborhood of flower bulbs that have been set aglow with one bright shining light helping to provide light for all.

Like your sentiment says - this is a BRILLIANT card Sabrina! So creative and so much fun. I giggled when I saw the bee's on this card. I am beyond impressed with this and I know Michael will be too! ~Karen.
