Where do I start....first, this card is for several challenges. I hadn't set out today to make a card (that journal is never going to get done lol) but I've been seeing all the beauties created using this week's Try a new technique challenge. Give it a go as it does give some great effects.
I also fancied the retro challenge but I don't have retro stamps, plus I wanted something for the Alpha challenge Y = Yellow.
If you want to know how I created the middle panel and fancy a giggle go to the TLC challenge thread. How long have you got lol? Let's say it didn't all go to plan but hey I ended up with some cool panels and some reminded me of the 60s and what I imagined a lot of people saw during those times *wink*. Not me...I swear. I am a 70s girl lol.
It got me thinking, which my hubby tells me can be dangerous. I also thought what if...which is in a stamp set I have.
I had already embossed the circle panel with dots earlier for the TLC challenge and it had some spots of ink on...so I am back to thinking what if, and before I know it I am sponging the panel with colour. It reminded me of tie dye clothing and effects in some 60s movies. Why I half expected Austin Powers to appear and say Who loves ya baby.
I had also got the stitched circle die cut from another challenge this week in my stash and when I popped it on the panel it reminded me of an eye...I was thinking what if again when I spotted my Dream on stamp. Plonked it in the middle green and yellow panel...oops stamped it in the middle. There is blue on there too folks, plus I added some other stamps. I'm in a mixed media mood and it is Friday after all.
Gosh I was having fun and you would think I had been mellow yellowed...I had to google this as I asked hubby to tell me the name of a song that related to the 60s. He knows a lot and one where people may have been high on life. He immediately came up with Donovan. I think we need a chat later lol...joking. He is a 70s person too lol.
All that was missing now was a flower...I remember flower power days...I think I was very very young...*cough cough*. Remember those days when we all wore flowers in our hair and cow bells. No, I do lol.
I remembered I had used my sunburst die for a flower before on a card that looked cool and was a sort of flower you would see if you were high on life. Die cut it out and stamped it with my eoelady dream one stamp in various colours. See how this tie die effect keeps cropping up. Plonked a flower out of my stash in the middle and added flowing ribbons..well twine but you get the picture.
I had such fun even if I'm currently covered in blue, yellow, purple, pink and yellow. I am very mellow.
Dream on...who loves ya baby.
TFL. Happy day

Great description of a cool card, Jayne. I lreally ike the Primas layered in the centre of your fab sunburst flower. And I love your spotted panel. I got quite painty doing my TLC, luckily I was able to get it all off before I started work. I'll have to go back to the TLC thread to see what you wrote there...

So very creative, Jayne! Wonderfully dreamy center!...About getting inky fingers, I use a piece of coral from the beach on Maui that I brought home with me. It works quite well to get the ink off! Well, mostly, lol!

Remember the show Laugh in! This could be one of the windows for someone to pop through with a joke!!! Thanks for bringing your fun card to my challenge. Donovan is singing away, "Quite rightly."
