This is my sample for today's Spring Cleaning WTUI challenge, which you will find HERE.
Actually, I made this back just before Christmas, to contain a gift set of sea-themed cards using the TJ Psalms of the Sea set - but I kept it in reserve in case I didn't have time to make a fresh sample this week. Just as well!!
For the bag, I used the Bag-a-Lope tutorial, which I always find to be a great way of presenting cards. And if you have the envelope insert for the Scor-Pal, it makes scoring the bottom even easier.
To decorate it the top I used some SU white card and scalloped border punch along the top, and I made a little tag on a clip to hold it closed, using one of the TH Mini Nautical stamps.
The main decoration is my Under the Sea panel...I made a background piece with Brushos in greens and blues, and then stamped the image with Versafine black. Then I went in with a fine brush and some bleach to remove colour from all the creatures. I coloured them with Mermaid markers - in some cases, the bleach was still active because I hadn't waited long enough, and it took some of the colour from the markers too, but I liked the look and in most cases left it as it was. There's a little Stickles on some of the bubbles. The panel was edged with a silver pen and matted onto some embossed blue card, and then stuck to the bag.

Love the mottled effect of the colors giving your sea creatures the illusion of light penetrating through the water onto them! Very creative packaging for gifting!

Sabrina this came out so wonderful! Love the scene you created and love how the bleach added additional dimension to the light source on your scene. Fun challenge today and now that I have a new bottle of bleach I will have to use it on a few more cards.

The bag design is really cute but that underwater scene with the highlighted bleach parts is outstanding...I'm mesmerized! Could look at this all day and find something new

Sabrina, your gift bag is gorgeous! Love all the sea creatures and flowers in you lovely scene. The bleached areas give it such a pretty sun dappled look.
