I did the metal foil tape technique. I first applied some small wooden Prima houses to a cardstock strip and followed with a couple of different border tapes and some drywall tape. I applied the metal tape over that and went over it with a stylus and bone folder. Then I painted on black acrylic paint, wiped off, and applied some Inka gold in copper and wiped that. The bg for the kids is some Red Lead artisan ink rubbed on glossy paper. I doodled around the edge (this month's theme...dots and doodles). That's about it...I'm off later this morning to our little Como Zoo with Finn..got to get in those last picnics, etc before school starts next week ;)
This is also for the Artistic Outpost August Challenge-see this post for info.

Oh my goodness Polly this is amazing! I love the little houses under your foil tape! Terrific image and I am going to need to look up the Red Lead artisan ink as that is new to me. Super cute card and great job doodling on the edge too. Thank you for making a card for my Make it Metal challenge!

Your metalwork" is FANTASTIC, Polly! You are SO creative and your design of the entire card is wonderful with your usual vintage flair. TFS how you did the metal panel.

What a brilliant way to use some of those little wooden shapes. Metal challenge aside, your card reminds me of a little wooden toy village we had as children. Brilliant sentiment to go with the children in your image, who look as if they are posing for a photo.
