For today's sketch. You know all the hype going on with the new SU in-colors lately? Well, I got to thinking about all those unloved very retired colors just sitting in the closet collecting dust. So for this card I got out some of them and I just Love how this turned out! Dynamic Duos Almost Amethyst & Lovely Lilac make a beautiful combo along with Sage Shadow! I water colored my image, cut it out and popped it up onto a sponged circle. I decided to distress and sponge the edges of my panel (also popped up), spritz it and add sequins & a sentiment. Thanks for stopping in today! ~Roberta

Your watercoloring is so beautifully done, Roberta! You even shaded the petals so perfectly. I have to agree with you that Sage Shadow was one of my favorites! Love the distressing on this beautiful card!

I would have thought your flowers were done with Copics....they are so PERFECTLY blended, Roberta. Making the entire card in shades of lavender makes a bold statement.

Roberta your gorgeous card really stands out in the gallery... I especially love the wonderful sentiment, the colour combo (purple our favourite colour) and the fussy cut flowers....Love the distressing and sponging also....so very well done... love it....

I never understood why SU took colors away, except some are only a shade off from "new" ones. But sage shadow and barely banana are two that nothing has seem to have a good substitution. I am so glad you picked out these two favorites of mine on this beautiful card.
