t's time for another mini Virtual Stamp Night! We're warming up for the big event in August with five new challenges starting tonight and running through Aug. 8! Please join us in the VSN forum - we'd love to have you play along!
This is my card for Jennifer'schallenge. Her challenge was inspired by the book "Sea Glass," so she challenged us to use the polished stone technique on our cards.
You can find out more about her challenge here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I recently had a chance to watch Tim Holtz do some demonstrating, so I was trying to channel him when I made this card using my alcohol inks! The butterfly chipboard piece was sponged with black ink, then spritzed with glimmer mist. The layout and image placement was inspired by a tag Tim made that day. I also sponged the hardware in black to age it and dull the bright color a bit to go with the card.

Beautiful colors, Michelle. Where did you find the pretty blue hardware piece that the ribbon is attached to? I like the look of the glimmer mist(must get some) on the butterfly. Fabulous card.
