This is for the *Lace It Up!* challenge this week.
A long time back, I met my DH while Country & Western dancing. Every year we join a group of friends for the annual rodeo in Payson, AZ and the big rodeo dance afterwards.
To make my *boot laces,* I cut a piece of Tim Holtz grunge board, applied Ranger walnut distress ink, Rust and Cocoa inks, rubbing them in until I liked the effect. I punched holes with my Cropadile, added eyelets and laced it with hemp.
Basic Grey bg paper stamped with *Wanted* paisley stamp. Ruby Red edges behind bottom strip were tool distressed. Touches of gold and orange acrylic paint added. Paper edges behind photo were torn, and inked with Cocoa and Choc. Chip, then paper crumbled and reopened, ink applied to the surface, which aged it pretty well.
Buckin’ Broncs on bottom printed on a sheet of acetate using *Yeehaw* font, then cut down to fit the space available. I had to make two strips and piece them together using vellum adhesive strips, as the page is 12x12 and vellum is only 11 ½ in. wide.
Stamps were used for the word *Payson,* and *Goldrush* computer font used for the word *Rodeo*, then both were cut out.
I put a little strip across the words *The One and Only* on the *Genuine* piece, and changed it with a computer font to *DancinÂ’ Friends.* Date in bookplate is also computer generated.
Thanks for looking!
