This is the first time I have participated in these type of challenges...how fun! This card was made for Michelle's Tuesday Dirty Dare Challenge to make a masculine card. I have a friend at church who's husband is taking chemo. I thought he might like this one. It is a case of mraburn's CARD.
I changed the colors and some hardware, used a different background stamp, left out the circle, and added a framed sentiment. I also didn't have the right ribbon, so I took an idea from my friend, Diane (lost in the 60's), and colored my own. The ribbon is white grosgrain that I colored with a Close to Cocoa marker.

It is a handsome card. NICELY DONE. I am confident that your friend's husband will appreciate it. I wish him and his family success in returning to health.
Wow, this is wonderful! I love the weathered BG and strip of trees with the main image! The placement of the framed sentiment is really nice, as is your distressing! Fabulous masculine card!

Wow, Leisa, this is terrific. I will absolutely case everything. Great sketch, love your coloring and the distressed layer across the middle. The sentiment treatment is great also. Well done, my friend.

I have all these stamps, and am always looking for ideas for male cards. This is headed to my favorites.
