I made this for my first THO workshop. I made the plaid paper using the DTP technique. It's hard to see (on purpose) but the yellow egg was line stamped for journaling. There is more on the right (see next photo). I stamped the flower from Art of Life in Mellow moss, then stamped same flower slighty off using white craft ink for a shadow effect.

I love your colors and the look of your plaid, but I'm not sure how you made it. Could you explain how you created a plaid with the DTP technique? I also love the shadow effect of the Art of Life flower. Such a "springtime" combination.
Sure! The plaid is so simple it's ridiculous! It came out of desperation--I couldn't find the brayer. "Necessity, the mother of invention!" All I did was take white US cs and drag the ink pads across the paper. One color right next to another and if they overlap (meaning the parallel swipes, not the criss-crossing of colors that makes up the plaid), so what! If there are splotchy white areas that the ink didn't cover, great because the other colors will show up in those. The girls at the w/s were really hesitant about this, even after I demo'd it for them. Most of them took their first swipe and said, "Oh no It didn't come out good (because of the white spaces)", but I showed them on mine how that allowed the other colors to show pure. I told them to not worry about perfection or solid color coverage, that would ruin the effect. Also the ink is absorbed into the paper so quickly that there is no color transfer to the next colored ink pad.
