It's been ages since I uploaded a non-challenge card!! Today I was totally inspired by two stampers when I made this card for the son of dear friends of me and DH. He is seriously ill with gastrointestinal problems that are potentially fatal, and he is less than 30 years old!
The small tiles are polished stone with a small image stamped over it. I then used inspiration from Kimmylynd's fantastic card found here: Tranquility by Kimmylynnd at Splitcoaststampers in which she added layers of clear ep to add depth to the polished stone! She has a small but amazing gallery! You should check it out!!!
The overall style of the card was inspired by Markie's Mom who I am sure you are all familiar with, but just in case you have been deprived of her talents for card making and story telling, here is a link to her gallery: markie's mom's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
She has a great talent for combining bright colors with black and polka dots that is just mind boggling! I was inspired to add a color to this card that I hardly ever use!!! Summer sun! Added lots of sponging, black, and polka dots that make Faith's cards so beautiful! Thank you both of these ladies for their inspiration! Thanks to all of you for looking!!

Fantastic card! I love the polished stone squares and the summer sun panel is fabulous! The sponging and black images tone it down perfectly! What a warm, wonderful card that would brighten anyone's day! I hope your friend's health improves!

Sorry to read about your friend's son.
It's a gorgeous card, though; those little polished-stone panels are lovely, and the contrast between the warm colours and the black is so striking.

You're a quick and astute learner, that's for sure. Love your brayering and your design is stellar. Love the Faith influence, too. Drop dead gorgeous is what this one is, for sure.

OMGoodness Lynnor, I've just gone to see Kimmylynd's gallery and you are so right, she is simply amazing. How did I miss this absolutely fabulous piece of art. This is simply incredible, I love the colors that you used in the polished stone tiles and the clear EP really makes them stand out.
