I made this for LSC176. The first time I forgot not to use patterned paper, so this is my second go. I used the same stamps, since they were on the table. I stamped the beach image on white card and coloured it with watercolour pencils. I used a glue pen and some clear micro-beads for little lines of surf on the sea, and Woodware Fluffy Stuff (like Appliglue, I think?) for the clouds. I used the sand from Shore Thing and Versamark on top of my coloured sand, and brushed on some powdered chalk pastel.
I used Tim Holtz distress EP for the next layer, it always reminds me of sand, and I trimmed the edges with a deckle scissors. I stamped little shells in the corners of a 5x5 card using Versamark, and embossed them with clear EP. I mounted the beach panel onto this, and added some shrink-plastic with the sandpipers in the corner. The back was lightly sanded before I shrunk it - it's meant to look a bit like glass that has been rubbed by the sand. I mounted the panel onto the card, took my photo and decided it was missing something. So I found some natural hemp, and added it to make a sort of border. It's still fairly minimal embellishments, and only 2 layers.
