How do you think the SU stamps work unmounted and on acrylic blocks? I've been thinking of doing this myself but am not sure it would be worth the trouble.

I think the SU rubber stamps work well mounted on acrylic. There are a few advantages which appeal to me - they take up less room in storage, they weigh less (great for traveling), and it is a little easier to stamp my image right where I want it. I can also cut the elements apart - like flowers and stems - so I can stamp them separately. When you take the rubber off the wood, it is more vulnerable though. I take care to keep my stamps stored in a CD case so I won't lose or destroy them. If you want to unmount your stamps, heat them a little in the microwave first and peel the label and the stamp from the wood. Stick the label directly to back of the the stamp, lining up as perfectly as possible, then trim the label down to fit the stamp. I use SNAIL to hold my stamp to my acrylic block. I use several acrylic blocks when I stamp a project - one for each stamp. HTH
