I have been making a bunch of thank you cards, and I came to realize that they are all pretty feminine. So, I decided to put a card together that was more masculine.
I used the Lovely As A Tree set for the main image, it is such a great set for masculine cards. I stamped the image on whisper white cs in close to cocoa ink. I used post it notes to mask around the leafy part of the tree, and then I sponged old olive ink on it. I matted this layer with old olive, river rock, and close to cocoa cs. The card base is close to cocoa. I then layered old olive, river rock, and another layer of old olive over it. On the top layer of old olive, I stamped the Weathered bg in close to cocoa ink. I also stamped it on the top layer of the horizontal strip of old olive. I used the word window punch to create the space in which the sentiment appears. I stamped the sentiment from Stem Silhouttes on the river rock layer in close to cocoa ink. I then added the pewter eyelets to each side of the word window.
I really like how the sponged tree turned out. I was just messing around and that is what I came up with.
Thanks for looking and have a Happy 4th of July!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
