I altered this 4 7/8 x 3.5 inch lined paper notebook using Basic Grey Mellow Automne DP and a new stamp set by Artful INKables called Plant Prints.
I punched the DP using my spiral punch and it slipped right over the metal spirals on the notebook (how perfect was that!) The notebook was navy blue so I really needed to cover it to look good - so I was glad that the punch worked out!
I stamped the ferns on Naturals Ivory CS using Lettuce and Lake mist Adirondack inks so it looks like some are in the shadowy background. I distressed the edges and sponged with Hazzlenut ink. Then I stamped the 2 size leaves that come with this set in 2 different browns, cut them out and mounted them with foam dimensionals after curling them a bit around my finger tip.
I cut 9 pieces of ribbon 6 inches long each - double knotted them around the spirals and cut each end at an angle.
I use journals like this to record the recipes of cards I make - or you could use it for your shopping lists, or as a diary - or any number of things!
