Sad news this evening. My neighbour's sister died from cancer. She was only 43 years old.
Another neighbour asked me to create a sympathy card for her, and I had to create one for myself, too. I never have sympathy cards in stock - kind of superstition, I guess.
The first card is one that takes some time. I first stamped the main image and embossed it with white powder. Then I created a watercolor wash with grey, blue and a very little bit green. I dried the layers several times to add just a little bit more color layer for layer. Finally, I accentuated the main image with a black jelly pen.
The text is stamped with white Brilliance and means: "There are moments in life that make the earth stand still for an instant - and when she goes on moving, nothing is as it was before."

That is a very lovely card. I'm sorry that you had to make sympathy cards. The sentiment is beautiful - feelings and emotions caught very well by words. Your technique is another very special one. You are very artistic and creative.
