 | | I tried a whole bunch of ways to replace the candy cane with a flower. I finally decided on this: I stamped the whole stamp in Not Quite Navy on white printer paper, then white-out-ed the candy cane. Once it was dry, I used our 3-in-1 printer to color-photocopy the image onto white cardstock. I cut around the hedgehogs paws with a carpet knife (yah, so I don't have a craft knife!) and then lifted his paws so I could adhere the "stem" ribbon underneath them (it's kind of a raised type of ribbon).
It's hard to tell from the photo; the thing the "love" is in is chipboard that I embossed in white, and the ribbon behind it is a light green.
I had lent my paper cutter out so all the straight lines for this card are actually made with a ruler and carpet knife! Hey, you use what you have, right? |
