This birthday card was made for my wonderful friend and demonstrator, Lisa. You know if you are going to make something for your demonstrator, it had better look good. So, I totally stole ideas from another wonderful and talented friend, Diane (Lost in the 60's).
Diane was the first person to greet me when I came on to SCS...and now we are in the same workshop group! She and Lisa are dear to me and I am proud and blessed to call them friends.
Diane's trio of cards that inspired me can be viewed here: THINKING OF YOU X3
I changed it to a carousel notes card and used a different stamp set. I also used choclate chip instead of black because it matched the Afternoon Tea DP and Carousel Notes envie. The dry embossed dots in the scallops were made with a classy brass template.
Congratulations, Diane...you are very deserving of this honor. You know I am a big fan...and copy your cards all the time!

This is absolutely amazing. I just love the colors you chose. She is going to love it too. I think she is such a true and genuine person. I love the layers of ribbon and that hph. The paper piercing and butterflies are such a beautiful addition. TFS

Wonderful! Great cutouts, and love, love the colors and the afternoon tea DP (how am I going to live without this DP?) - just so soft and pretty!
