This is my first attempt at chalk resist. It was very easy and I like the way it turned out. Originally, this was supposed to be brayered chalk resist, but I couldn't get that to work too well, so ended up just using a sponge.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. This technique is originally called brayered chalk resist, but I couldn't get it to turn out right with the brayer. So, what I did was stamp the middle size tulip with versamark on glossy cardstock. Then, inked up a sponge with the pink chalk ink and dabbed it on and sometimes drug it a little to get good coverage. I did the same with the lavender and olive chalk inks (the pink and lavender come in the same set and the olive in the other one). When I liked the way it looked, I took a kleenex and buffed it to make it shine again. Then, I applied the French Script background stamp with regular black ink. I heat set it a little to help it dry faster. Very easy. I like the softness of the chalk inks.

This is really beautiful. It looks like a Hallmark! I was about to ask you to explain how you did the paper, when I read on and found out. I wish everyone would tell exactly how they do ones I can't figure out.
Thanks for sharing the gorgeous card and the directions.
