I wanted to make a card for my dad that demonstrated that I had put some real effort into it. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I used jewelry wire to create the hanger. It was tricky and i had a few false starts...lol. I wanted something to add texture to the card without taking away from the patterns on the ties so i used clear embossing powder and my flannel plaid stamp as a background for the ties. I also donÂ’t own a fatherÂ’s day stamp so I created my own by using the standard paper tray words and handwriting the word father. I thought I would hate it but it turned out pretty funky so I kept it.
Thanks Cindy for the inspiration!

love this card. Very clever with the 'father's day" stamp as well. I don't have one either, but why couldn't I write out father, as you've done, and use a Happy Birthday stamp.... ah, I'm inspired now... anyways, this is a great card, thanks for sharing it!!
