A good friend of ours died recently from cancer and I made this for his wife. Dick was a FABULOUS landscape architect, and did many things for our city. I tried to include as many pictures as possible of the ideas he had for our city.
The captions, which are hard to read here, say, The Legacy! Thanks to Dick... trees are loved, buildings are unique, music lives on, beauty is tiimeless, we appreciate all cultues, Union Station got a facelift, downtown was revitalized, we stop to smell the flowers, we see what's happenin, Kelsey's has a cool window!, the waterfront is nice, art comes alive, darkness becomes light, flower planters are beautiful. The other two say, "Make no small plans, they have no magic to stir men's blood...-Daniel H. Burham, and Thanks, Dick, for making Bemidji a great place. We will always remember you! -Larry & Sue Young"
