Didn't have a chance to do the color and sketch challenges until today, so I thought I'd combine them. This isn't at all what I started out to make and I'm not entirely happy w/ it, but, oh well.
I found this photo in my scrap pile. It was already cut in strips and that's what set me off in this direction. It was a photo my sis took a few years back. Well, the colors really seemed to fit the challenge so I made a window out of it by adding strips, a frame and a little curtain valance at the top made w/ dp and a little vellum which were punched w/ a border punch.
I made the sketch strips out of black c/s and overlaid it w/ s.sky lattice pieces cut w/ a cb die.The sentiment is stamped on one of the circles cut w/ a sizzix. These are alternated w/ the scallop flower Quickutz dies. Tiny little punched stars are at the left bottom and big stars layered (cb die) at the left top. All red dots were done w/ a red glaze pen. Wow! There's nothing wrong with this card - it's lovely! I love how you used your photo and incorporated it into the sketch challenge and color challenge. All the details really compliment. Well done!
