Johanna, the daughter of a co-worker, had her First Communion last weekend. I wanted to create a card which was not too spiritual and not monochromatic as most of the cards for such an occasion are - Johanna is just eight years old, so PLEASE no gold, no silver, no black-and-white...but, nevertheless, it had to be a card that was appropriate for a church-celebration.
I used a Stampboard tile and sponged it with different shades of green, blue and lilac fluid chalks. Then I stamped the ship with StazOn. I scratched some highlights into the stampboard (doesn't show well on the photo, sorry, they are really bright and white), then I coated the whole piece with some Diamond Glaze.
For the background, I used my cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder, a white SignoPen and some dp.
Do you like the card?

Christiane, it is so nice to see that you had a chance to stamp. Your card is neat and unique. You always have some cool technique that you are doing. I really think you are artistic. I believe that Johanna will like her card. If she is anything like either you or I, she will realize that hand made cards are more special than store bought.
