HereÂ’s my page for both PeggyÂ’s variety challenge (SBVC2 to stamp on chipboard, and sketch challenge SBSC124.
I created chipboard circles using my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug. I painted the circles and then stamped them. I decided I wanted to capture the sparkle effect of water spray, so I added stickles to the stamping. (See close-up here: close-up of chipboard by wendella247 at Splitcoaststampers. I also stamped the chipboard pale green and turquoise letters with white dots and inked the edges with Close to Cocoa to make them stand out a little against the background. For the vertical bg strip behind the photos on the right I used my Creative Memories wavy cutter then stamped it with my Whimsey stamping wheel and edged it with two thinner green pieces.
I added a *water spray* border to two of the photos using Microsoft Digital Pro.
Journaling reads: One hot day in May, Grandma Wendy & Grandpa Bob joined Mady, Jaycie, Mom & Dad for an afternoon at Westgate City Center, a favorite spot for them—just a mile or so from their old house on Tuckey Lane. The girls love the water fountain jets that randomly shoot up sprays of water. Even though she was just a little over a year old, Jaycie gleefully stood right in the middle of the spray! Mady liked to jump around and through the jets every chance she got. This was sure one great way to beat the heat!
After we were through cooling off, we stopped at Johnny RocketÂ’s to cool off some more with ice cream or milk shakes.
Fun challenges!
Thanks for looking!
