This is for my step sister Kori. I stayed with her while I was out in CA earlier this month for my dad's memorial service/scattering of his ashes. It was so nice to spend time with her and her family and get to know them better. I was reunited with my dad just over 2 years before he passed Jan. 7th, 2007...I'm so thankful for the time I did have with him and the wonderful new family members I've been blessed with. I have a fantastic step mom who I love like my own mom and two wonderful step sisters who each have two lil' boys...they are the cutest lil' nephews ever!
Anyhow, I made this card and put together a pedicure basket to thank Kori for having me
I combined a few challenges on this card. I did Jamie's BSC09, Sparkle's BCC24, and Jamie's "da dot" challenge, which was to use as many circles or polka dots as you can, anything goes. I had to off set the bella and add the flower because my cropadile gave me a hassle and wouldn't crimp right. Since this was a RAK image (thanks Tangi, Tangerine Dream) I had to hid my boo-boo and couldn't restamp and start over.
TFL & reading if you got this far...lol

What a gorgeous card! Thank you for sharing your story too. I am glad that you were able to reunite with your dad and family-so sorry for your loss though.

Great coloring technique and the flower looks great -- I'd never guess it was a cover-up! Pretty DP, too. This is a perfect Bella to go with a very thoughtful gift!

Tanya, I know that was a very difficult time for you, and you were in my prayers. What a beautiful thing for you to do for your sis! Your card is adorable- and I'm sure the basket was lovely too! How wonderful that God surrounded you with such loving people, and that He gave you to them too! LYMI
