This is the fifth smackin' acetate and sponging card I made this week. I am definately hooked on this technique. Each one has turned out differant even though I basically started out with the same basic colors. On this one the base colors started with the water based SU markers starting at the bottom with creamy carmel and working up with multiple shades of blues, greens, yellows and pinks for the smackin' acetate on water color paper. Then after that dried I sponged more of these colors on. Then for the third layer of color I worked my way up the card sponging on dew drops Brillance crinsom copper on the bottom, then pearlescent sky blue over the water and ended with pearlescent poppy in the sky. Then over the entire card I sponged it lightly with some more pearlescent poppy. After that dried, I did some 2 stamping with the flowers from spring garden with stazon black and then added the birthday greeting in stazon black. Matted it on black card stock and a white card. Finished card 5x7. Thanks for looking.
