These are the invitations I made for dd's 6th bday party at the beach. Beach birthday invites by nottoocreative at Splitcoaststampers She wanted a shell shape, so I downloaded a shell image and changed the size to fit on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card front. I cut the paper in half like usual, print the shell and turn the paper over to print the inside, fold and cut out in the shell shape.
I used Aleene's tacky glue sponged on the very edge of the shell and sprinkled on some play sand.
I ran out of the tan colored paper, so I tried a different (grayer, speckled) color and ended up dousing the whole thing with Ranger Distress ink (sprinkled with water to "distress")...that one looks more like it has water spots or something on it, rather than a solid tan.
There are a couple versions as I was experimenting with adding some "bling" with pink princess glitter and Elmer's fluorescent pink paint pens, but my dd decided she liked the plain ole' tan ones best.
Inside I used a flip flop stamp in regal rose, and colored the words with a Marvy bubble gum pink marker. I used a pink Sharpie on some of them, but some of the papers were so thin you could see the words on the FRONT--d'oh (so I added the pink paint all over those).
On the envelopes I also used the Sandy Shells wheel with the same Distress ink.
The inside was generated on the computer using a Woodplank font and a Treasuremap Deadhand font.
TFL!
