I made this card with my 9 year old DS at my side. He and my DH are avid birders so there's no getting it wrong. This is a Hairy Woodpecker folks and I wasn't allowed any artistic freedom. The bird books were opened so that I would only add the minimal amount of colour that the real bird has.
My son helped me choose the colours and the accessories. We punched the holes with the crop-a-dile "but not too many or it would look like a Sapsucker had been around".
The woodpecker was stamped off an image that Dark Chocolate has by Salt Spring Island Stamp Co., thanks for the great image.

This is so great! I love that your son helped with getting the details just right. We love watching the woopeckers in our woods, too. I especially like the leafy bg of the tree and the pecked side panel trunk. Very creative.
