This card started from a piece of Glossy White and some Alcohol Inks. The Alcohol Ink Smooshing Technique was used (kinda like the Smackin Acetate). I had such fun using my new acrylic stamp sets from Inkadinkado to create this shadow effect.
* Alcohol Ink Smooshing can be done on glossy white paper or SU Whisper White. For smooshing you lay out the non-stick craft sheet, add a BIT of the mixative, add your alcohol ink (2-5), and add blending solution. Place your paper face down onto the mixture and twist and lift off. You can smoosh the same piece again or another piece by adding more Blending Solution.

What a stunning card. You sure make it sound sooooooooo easy. I bought the alkohol inks almost a year ago and still have not done much with them, but hearing you, I think I'll give this technique a try.
TFS this beauty
