Have you seen the gorgeous cards that Sharon and Debbie have recently uploaded? I just had to have the monogram kit to try the monogramming. I received mine a few days ago from JustRite Stampers. I used the DIY Monogram Stamper Kit for this project. I made a set of cards this week for a girlfriendÂ’s birthday. Another friend saw the ensemble and asked me to make a set for her. When I saw SharonÂ’s challenge today, I decided to make the other set and stitch on it to add a little more dimension. I made a matching box to store the cards in. A total of 10 cards will be included in the gift set. This layout is super easy and fast! I donÂ’t know why I use faux stitching so much when sewing from a machine is so much faster!
I used BasicGrey's Stella Ruby designer paper that I purchased at Flourishes, as well as Rose Red, Certainly Celery and black cardstock from SU. The tassel was made by unraveling cream, certainly celery, and rose grosgrain ribbon from SU. I tied gold cord around it to bind it. The tassel is attached to a buckle from HPH. I used antique copper brads from Making Memories on the panels and ribbon on the box. The panels were placed on SUÂ’s dimensionals for added dimension. I used ivory taffeta ribbon on the card panels and tied in strips of rose and certainly celery grosgrain ribbon. Swarovsky pearls were added to the monogrammed circles.
