I tried a new technique with this Mother's Day card -- I spritzed the inked stamp with a water spray bottle to look like watercolor. I'm not sure if you can see it here but it looks really good in real life.
The card dimensions are 4 1/4 by 7 inches. The green layer is 3 by 6 3/4 inches. I used a dual-fern stamp from Rubber Stamp Tapestry with "Hint of Pesto" ink by DewDrop. The Iris stamp is from Starving Artistamps that I got at a stamp show in Pennsauken NJ in April. I used Colorbox ink for the flowers and another DewDrop for the stems. The oval is 4 1/4 inches tall and I used an oval card I got once and traced it and cut it out by hand. Never again!
The sentiment is from the newest $1 stamps alphabet I got at Mike's. Bought 2 exactly for this reason. The ribbon is a scrap.
Thanks for looking!
