These cards are both cased from Sunset Silhouette by Tinnalee at Splitcoaststampers... substituting Precious Girl for the SU girl. But the idea to color her in was awesome, I thought (that's what I cased, plus the way she drew the hill in). I tried 2 versions of sunset on glossy and smooth white (generic), practicing with my brayer (rubbing spots directly on it!) and sponge.
I mounted them on black paper and went around the edges then with a gold painty marker. The birds are handdrawn with a Zig black marker. The silhouette was also created by coloring in with that marker.
This one is on the smooth white paper using craft ink spots. I got a sharp line of yellow so I went over it with Rubber Stampede sky blue spot to make water. The hill was torn and chalked with IKandee shimmering chalks, and the water was highlighted with them also.

AWESOME card!! You did a great job on it, and I just love it!! The colors in both your sky and water are so pretty, and all that black silhoutting just really sets them off!! TFS!!
Your water is awesome with the reflection of the sunset and the small wave effect... how did you do the 'waves'?

You are all too kind! I'm learning...SLOWLY!
The water pattern is from Stampscapes, have you heard of them? Love them for making scenes! I just kind of angled it a little here and there, maybe I masked the sky, so it wasn't straight across...

Oh my goodness, what an incredible card! The sky background is absolutely amazing with the variations of the depths of the colors and the water is wonderful as well.
