I needed a birthday card for a stamping friend and used this week's sketch challenge to stretch a little. My card uses three different patterned papers. I have never done that before but I thought this sketch would allow me to achieve my goal. I'm pretty happy with the outcome
Some things that might not be obvious: the band across the card is actually the pink stripes DP layered onto a piece of the same pattern paper that I used on the left side of the card. The pink stripe by itself was too harsh IMO so I softened it. Also I used a strip of the plain pink background paper. cut it with the mini-pinking shears on the left side and butted the straight side against the joint. Then I added a scrap piece of the striped pattern paper (that was used on the left side of the card) on top of the mini-pinked, pink paper. I colored the white ribbon with the Tria marker - a trick I learned from Debbie Olsen's blog at http://www.debbiedesigns.typepad.com/ - though she colored hers with Copics
Thanks for looking.

This is very pretty! I love the way you used the dp for the band. I have this same paper. TFS!
