I've been wanting to try Labullard's moonglow technique with this palm for a while and just now got around to it. Thanks for the inspiration! I may hang a tag on the ribbon with a greeting when I get ready to use this. Don't know if it shows too well in the scan or not, but the other small stamps from this set are Versamarked on the solid navy background.
Palm is clear embossed on navy, then silver rub-on is applied over palm and water, then buffed off embossed areas with a tissue.

Great night time effect! Now if only I could remember where I put my rub ons. Wonder how well Pearl Ex would take their place. Hummm . . . going to have to go play.

Hey everyone -- Metallic Rub-ons are a pasty cream that you can rub on cardstock to accent, highlight or fully cover (it says on the back of the package!). The ones I found at my local scrapbook store are made by Craf-T Products, Inc. in Fairmont, MN (no website listed). They are sold in an oblong hinged plastic "box" that looks similar to a child's watercolor "strip". They come in a group of 7 hues. The ones I have are Metallics -- pewter, copper, silver, bronze, vertigris, gold and something brownish! You just rub some on your project and then buff it off the embossed parts. I believe they make 2 or 3 other color groups.
I did start to try Encore metallic ink with a sponge but it started out a little too heavy and I was afraid it wouldn't come off if I got too much on the c/s (and/or the embossing). But if you apply it carefully, it would probably give the same look.
