Well, I managed to knock-out three challenges with this card!!! It is for LSC163- DIY dp, FS62- caseing Kharmagirl (she has an AWESOME gallery), and CC162- Basic Guava Blossoms.
This was actually pretty easy to pull together! The project of Kharmagirl's that I cased used dp for the large patterned panel, so I just made my own dp for that panel. The project I cased is actually an address book that she altered and I thought that it would make a nice card layout. I did flip her layout, as my scalloped panel fit better this way. Here is the link to Kharmagirl's planner: ssnotime20 Everything by Kharmagirl at Splitcoaststampers.
The bottom layer of the cardfront is groovy guava and it is stamped with the Linen bg (so sad that it is retired) in groovy guava ink. The next layer is basic gray and then there is a layer of blush blossom. On the blush layer, I stamped En Francais in groovy guava ink. The top layer is watercolor paper and is matted with basic gray cs. On the watercolor paper, I stamped the cherry blossom image (from Embrace Life) in basic gray ink. I used my Stampin' Up Markers, blender pen, groovy guava ink pad, and Aquapainter to color in the flowers using Julie Buhler's No Copics?? No Problems!! technique- here is the link: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_...ics-no-pr.html. Coincidentally, Julie's technique is today's Technique Spotlight- Watercoloring with Markers. Here is the link for that tutorial: Watercoloring With Markers Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I used my nestabilites to create the scalloped and regular oval panels. The scalloped oval is basic gray cs and the top oval is blush blossom cs. On the blush oval, I stamped the sentiment (from All Year Cheer II) in basic gray ink. I took Emily's suggestion and made this a Mother's Day card. Before I attached the oval panels, I added the basic gray taffeta ribbon. It is actually 3 pieces and they are knotted together on each side of the oval panels. I adhered the oval panels over the ribbon with dimensionals.
Thanks so much for looking at my card, I hope you like it! Have a fabulous day!

Great job on all three challenges - love what you've created. The linen bg looks great and I love your DIY dp...
