Went to the Rubber Stamp Convention in Sacramento Saturday, had a blast. My feet hurt a little bit, but saw a lot of neat things to spark the old creativity!
After seeing so many neat ideas, I had to try a few I really liked. On this card the bird and flowers were done by putting ink to stamp with markers, huffing then stamping on glossy paper. Since I didn't use a solid type stamp, I then took pens to color in the images. Stamped the grass at the bottom, and sponged ink all around for the background. I also punched out and sponged corner tag which I popped up.
The "HELLO" was stamped on shrinky dinks frosted paper, colored, heated up to shrink. So glad I saw this done, or I would have freaked out as it was shrinking! It is amazing that it becomes flat. Try it, you'll see what I mean. Glued it on to the blue linen 4x4 card with diamond glaze.
So, this is the end result of a very fun weekend involving rubber stamping. I am pumped up and ready to try some more!...... Hope you like it! TFL :0)
