When desiging a project, I create "elements" or focal points and then come back to design with them at a later date. That is how this wall art piece was created - the skull came first.
Skull:
The piece comes from the Elements Grungeboard pack - plain (Tim Holtz). I began by painting it with Pearl, Pink Sherbert and Cranberry Adirondack Paint Dabbers (Ranger). Next I stamped the Montana Cracked Earth Backgrounder stamp with Jet Black Archival ink (Ranger) and sponged around the edges with the same using an ink blending tool (Ranger). Finally, I edged the piece the Silver Krylon leafing pen.
My favorite part of the entire piece is the NOSE RING!!! I know, I am not well. ;) It's just a straight pin that I bent through the nose with pliers and then secured the pink beads on the edge with Glossy Accents (Ranger) The flowers in her eyes are by Doodlebug.
