Boy, does it feel good to be stamping again!! I have been taking care of my Mother after her heart surgery and now that she is doing so well, I am indulging myself a bit!! I want to thank all my SCS friends for all your prayers and notes of concern...your are the best!!
I was really excited to read the WT challenge today was for spray stuff...I had forgotten about using Glimmer mist. Now I know why it is parked in the back of my cupboard!! What a mess I made...I only sprayed the bottom 2 Soft Sky layers because of all the glumps of color. Oh well, I just need more practice...LOL!! This card also qualifies for my friend Chrissy's (chrissyd723) Belli challenge to use chalks found here: http://chrissyd723.blogspot.com/
this weeks sketch and color challenges, too. I used the new Crafty Secrets stamp set called Bird Lovers.
The raised areas on the cuttled background were colored with chalk as were the cut out birds and leaves. The Soft Sky layers were stamped with Weathered bg using Soft Sky ink. The edges were distressed for a rustic look. The birds were popped up on dimensionals. TFL and have a great day!!

Joan, it's beautiful! I love all the birds fluttering away against the gorgeous embossed bg! Neat layout too! I'm glad to hear your Mother is recovering well, what a blessing! I'm sure your tremendous efforts will not go unnoticed--indulge away, you deserve it--and we deserve to see you fabulous work, hehe! hugs!
