I've got to thank Roxie for a super fun challenge this week and to Julia for the 'spray it' this morning...I'm combining the two...this was a blast! I can only imagine how much fun those guys have in home "P*mp my ride" workshops playing around with all their airbrush tools!
I got to use *my* new Classic Pickups set and thought the just released Basic Grey papers would work well for this card. I knew it would be retro geometrics. I stamped the lowrider in ColorBox sepia black and embossed in clear...it is on BG Archaic 'prime'. The motorcycle from Crafty Secrets favorite fellas is inked in Versamagic spanish olive and embossed in clear. I used SU river rock for this. My sentiment is also favorite fellas inked with peacock gold and again embossed..that paper is 'timeworn'. the awesome squares panel is 'relic' . I cuttlebugged the SU bayou blue with the TRAFFIC embossing folder, using the technique from last week which was to ink the negative before embossing. I used the spanish olive for this. My cardbase is the 'prime' paper which I stamped and sprayed Tim Holtz distress brushed corduroy onto SU crosshatch. I love the mottled color it created and the slight bit of 'bleeding' into the paper.
I have to commend all ya'll that use gromments and brads in mutiples...I tried twice to add metal squares (wouldn't that have been cool!!!) to the edge of my soft sky panel...even used the mat pac, however the durn things turned crooked on me...not the retro ever so cool look I wanted...so I'm metal less...what WOULD the boys say?
