I've been away for a few days and really have missed doing the challenges, even though I had only been doing them about a week! I guess they really ARE addictive!
Anyway, I tried to get two birds (no pun intended) with one stone, so to speak. This is made for the color challenge, CC159 (Soft Sky, Black and WW) and TLC 161. This was the first time I ever did this style card and it was a lot of fun. I do not have a coluzzle system, so for me the hardest part was getting the curve for the flap. I used my quickcutz for the scalloped circles, embossed the image then sponged the background in soft sky and rubbed off the embossed part. I did not have the required magnet closure so I used a brad, left just loose enough to be able to tuck the flap underneath. I outlined the smallest scallop with silver glitter pen, although it doesn't really show on the picture, IRL it adds depth to it. I also tried Marky's Mom's dots with my Signo gel pen but have not yet conquered that technique.
It was fun to do this and thanks for looking!

This is gorgeous. I love it and plan to case it! Into my favorites. I love how you used the brad for the closure. I don't have the magnets either, although I'll probably buy some soon!

LOVE your card! Would you mind sharing with me where the stamp came from? I love vintage, and would love to get it! Don't know what DMD is, just tried to find it online, but not getting it! Thanks! Julie
