Thanks Carole for a cool color challenge, it definitely fits the bill for vibrant spring hues and my Easter Cross. I've been having fun fussy cutting some awesome papers by Flair Design from the Amazing Grace collection... the cross and the words are on a sheet titled 'Keeping the Faith'.
I cut my cross in half vertically and *exactoed* the intricate swirls and scrolls...looks as though this cross was wrought iron. I put creamy caramel (which had been stamped in SU linen bg with Adirondack latte ink) underneath...in part to lift it off the orchid and the other way I got in that color without tooo much pain to me...can you tell it's not my favorite? I cut my words off the page and used a puffy black gel pen to outline. The orchid layer is stamped with VersaMagic spring pansy using a Stampers Anonymous crackle cube. I stamped the sage shadow layer with Judikins Papyrus in VersaMagic aloe vera and then ran it through the CB using the distress striped folder. I aged it a bit with ColorBox Chalk creamy brown. My metal believe tag is from Making Memories...I used a ribbon saved from a gift to add some texture to the card. I finished off with three big brown eyelets.
Thanks so much for looking and your comments. And for those of you celebrating...have a Blessed Easter.
Oh fiddle, I'm looking at this from another computer and my metal tag that says BELIEVE is too dark...well you'll just have to believe me!
